Absolutely! The idea for Amelia Romeo came to me during a trip to Tahiti. Imagine the turquoise waters gently rocking the boat, the sun warming your skin, and the feeling of absolute serenity. I was wearing my favourite bikini bandeau, soaking in the tropical vibes. When I returned home, I wanted to carry that sense of joy and freedom into my everyday life. So, I decided to wear the same bikini bandeau to my local Pilates studio to keep the tropical feeling alive.
Q: How did that go?
Not great! While I loved the look, it wasn’t supportive at all. It kept slipping and shifting, and I found myself readjusting constantly instead of focusing on my workout. That’s when the idea struck me: why not create an activewear piece that blends the elegance of a bandeau with the practicality needed for the gym? I wanted something feminine yet functional, and that’s how Amelia Romeo was born.
